Friday: water temp 74.3 NE 3-5mph in the a.m. / 75.3 SW 5-9mph in the p.m. The water was clean. The Pompano bite was dead. Lots of Spanish Mackerel were caught. There were big ones in the mix, but they were finicky. They didn’t even want to eat live bait. Late in the afternoon John C decked a 14.4-pound King Mackerel. Six Kings were hooked with two landed. Cigar Minnows and Speedos were everywhere.
Saturday: water temp 74.5 SW 2-6mph in the a.m. / 74.7 SSW 3-5mph in the p.m. The water was clean. There were a few Pompano, lots of Spanish Mackerel and a couple of Kings. John C. briefly hooked a Tarpon on a jerk bait. He got two jumps before it threw the hooks. Lots of live bait was available.

The afternoon started slow, but the Spanish turned on about 5:00. There were schools coming through like this one Rick caught. Apparently, Pompano did too as George reached his limit. Butch had to get in on the action too.

Wednesday 22nd: water temp 70.9 ENE 5-11mph in the a.m. / 72.5 Sm11-15ph in the p.m. The water was clean. There was a hot Bonita and Spanish Mackerel bite this morning. Most anglers were able to catch their limit. Kim got in on the Bonita rally. Rod had a great morning. He caught three Bonita, several Spanish, 2 Flounder (16” and 14.5”), and a Long Nose Gar on the Flounder jig. The afternoon brought more Spanish with some Axe Handles hitting the deck. Skinny water produced several Pompano.
